The University

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) has been providing creative education for 160 years and specialises in arts and design.

UCA formed by merging local art schools across Kent and Surrey, with a total of four campuses located in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester, together with teaching bases at the Royal School of Needlework and The Maidstone Studios, and a project and exhibition space in Folkestone Creative Quarter.

The Canterbury campus is located on the edge of the City and is home to almost all of the courses within their School of Architecture, as well as a range of BA and MA degrees in Fine Art and Design subjects, and some pre-degree courses.

As a specialist arts and design university, UCA offers a selection of pre-degree, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture, Crafts, Fashion, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Art, Photography, Film, Media, the Performing Arts and Creative Business.

UCA has been ranked top for teaching quality with a score of 91.6% from The Sunday Times.
