Our Story
Going back to where it all started, this is the story
of how Novel was born.
Two more properties join the Novel Student platform. The addition of Riverside Canterbury and Altura Birmingham brings the total number of operational sites under Novel Student to five, with four more set to open for September 2022.
The first three Novel Student properties open and the teams welcome their residents in Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Novel is officially launched as a new provider of student accommodation, one where service, design, community and well-being takes top priority.
CA Student Living manages 17,641 beds across 39 buildings in the US.
CA closes investment and confirms it’s first UK schemes in Sheffield, Edinburgh and Glasgow will launch in 2021.
CA Student Living now manages 1887 beds in Colombia, with an additional building in downtown Bogota Colombia and one in the seaside port city of Barranquilla Colombia. The student platform also opens its first community in Europe, LivvinX Krakow, developed and managed alongside Golub GetHouse. The property contains 710 beds and features a climbing wall and steel slide to the lower ground level.
CA opens its London office, set to become the hub of their focus on the European student market.
CA opens its first buildings in Latin America, with LivinnX Santiago in the heart of the Chilean capital city and LivinnX 18 in the historic downtown of Bogota, Colombia.
The company continues to show continued growth, going on to sell its $627 million student portfolio to student housing REIT, the second largest student portfolio sale at the time.
CA Ventures student portfolio continues to grow, and with this success of investment and development strategy the CA platform expands to include other niche real estate classes including multi-family residential, senior living and office.
CA Ventures delivers first two in-fill high rise development student properties.
