About Coventry University 

The University of Coventry was established in 1843 under the ‘Coventry School of Design’. It changed its name twice in the 70s and 80s, once to ‘Lanchester Polytechnic’, then to ‘Coventry Polytechnic’ before receiving official university status in 1992.
