King Richard III Visitor Centre
Built on the grounds where the buried king’s remains were found, it is much more than a museum.

- “Dynasty” is the first of the galleries, exploring the King’s rise to power, life and the War of the Roses.

National Space Centre
An out-of-this-world experience for all ages, perfect for a fun day out (especially if you have family visiting you at university).
Gaining a Travellers’ Choice award, the National Space Centre is in the top 10% of attractions in the world.
Home to the United Kingdom’s largest planetarium, six interactive galleries, and even a 42m high rocket tower. They also regularly hold special events.
Leicester Cathedral
Although now closed for renovations until Autumn 2023, Leicester Cathedral is part of Leicester’s heritage and had to be included in the list.

Created by students to celebrate one of Britain’s most diverse cities.
On this route discover the city spectacles of statues in Leicester, ancient ruins, the clock tower and much more.
You may even spot a new favourite hang out spot on your way, amongst the coffee shops, restaurants and retail spots.
Gorse Hill City Farm
A registered charity, visiting here is not only a fun day out, it also gives back to the local Leicester community.
A rare breed survival trust, there are lots of unusual and friendly animals to meet as you explore.
With lots of educational talks, an on-site cafe and even a gift shop there’s plenty to do to keep you occupied for the whole day.
Flip Out
If hitting the gym isn’t really your thing and you’re looking for something that is fun and gets your heart racing, look no further.
Flip Out is Leicester’s first indoor trampoline centre. It is full of interconnected trampolines as well as Ninja Warrior-style obstacle courses, foam pits and even tumble tracks.
