Choosing to study at University College Cork (UCC) and live at our student accommodation near UCC is an excellent choice for your future.

Situated in Cork, Ireland’s second-largest city, overlooking the River Lee and close to our UCC student accommodation, the university can boast a rich tradition of teaching, research and scholarship.

Its motto ‘Where Finbarr Taught, Let Munster Learn,’ pays homage to the sixth-century Saint Finbarr, whose monastery and school once stood nearby.

Opting to live in our student accommodation near UCC allows you to live near the beautifully landscaped gardens and surroundings of the university. So if you’re ever short of something to do on a lazy Sunday, you can always chill out in the gardens.

Just avoid crossing ‘the Quad’ before graduation, as superstition has it that doing so will lead to bad luck and exam failure!

Keep an eye out for the ancient Ogham stones in the UCC’s many historical collections and artefacts. The stones are believed to be the earliest written source of the Irish language.
