The Munster Technological University (MTU) is an impressive public multi-campus technological university that provides incredible academic programmes and student development opportunities.

When you come to study at Munster Technological University you’ll be mixing with a community of some 18,000 students, some of whom choose to live at our modern, well-equipped MTU accommodation. Not only that, it’s renowned for its high standard of education and research.

Our MTU student accommodation provides the perfect base from which to reach any one of the university’s campuses, of which there are six. To name them, they are the main Bishopstown Campus, the Cork School of Music, Crawford College of Art & Design, National Maritime College of Ireland, and Blackrock Castle Observatory.

The choice of courses at the Bishopstown Campus is extensive, from Business, Science, Computing, Engineering, Media Communications, and Humanities, amongst many others. The Bishopstown Campus is conveniently located in the western suburbs of Cork City, not far from our MTU accommodation. From there you can make the most of some fantastic facilities including Leisureworld Sports Centre, which includes both a 25m and an 18m swimming pool, and is situated right next door to the Bishopstown Campus building.

Everything you need is at hand. Within just a few minutes you can reach the suburbs of Bishopstown and Wilton where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and more sports facilities.
Meanwhile, in the MTU Crawford College of Art & Design, close to the city centre and not far from our MTU student accommodation, you can choose to study Fine Arts and Contemporary Arts courses, as well as Creative Digital Media and Visual Communications programmes.

For lovers of music, the MTU Cork School of Music, located at Union Quay, is the ideal place to make your passion your future. Cork School of Music offers various options for courses in Music, Theatre & Drama, and Popular Music. The Cork School of Music is internationally renowned for its academic staff and for being Ireland’s largest conservatory of music and drama. Here you can enjoy the very best of facilities and revel in knowing that you’re in the company of the school’s award-winning bands, chamber music ensembles, choirs, drama groups, opera groups, and orchestras.

Located 18km from Cork city, in Ringaskiddy, and set in a sprawling 10-acre campus, the National Maritime College of Ireland. Here, there are some amazing education services of the highest quality for those interested in studying Nautical Science, Marine, Engineering, and Marine Electrotechnology. Stunning specialist spaces such as bridge simulators, fire-fighting, jetty and lifeboat facilities, and engine rooms are provided.

Blackrock Castle was reopened to the public in November 2007 as MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory, the Space for Science. As the name suggests, here you can study science, engineering and technology.
