The University

The University for the Creative Arts (UCA), situated close to our UCA accommodation in Canterbury, has long been established as one of the best universities in the UK for studying creative disciplines.

It has built up an amazing reputation over its 160 year history for being a sterling creative education provider, specialising in Arts and Design courses. P>The UCA was initially formed by merging various local art schools across Kent and Surrey. That’s why it is so spread out across the region and boasts a total of four campuses located in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester. Our uni accommodation is best served to cater to Canterbury residents, but is well connected to all four locations.

As well as these main campuses, the UCA also has teaching bases at the Royal School of Needlework and The Maidstone Studios. Alongside those faculties they also have a project and exhibition space in Folkestone Creative Quarter.

The Canterbury campus of the UCA is located on the edge of the city, and is served by our UCA Canterbury accommodation. On this campus you’ll find almost all of the courses that you could possibly ask for, in the School of Architecture.

In spite of its name, this faculty doesn’t only focus on architecture, but also on a wide range of BA and MA degrees in Fine Art and Design subjects, and some pre-degree courses. So if you’re staying in our UCA accommodation, you’ll be a hop, skip, and a jump away from amazing campus facilities and a creative course to suit every taste and need.

The UCA has a great reputation as an academic institution.

It’s the second largest provider of creative arts education in the UK.

The UCA specialises in arts and design, and so you can choose from a plethora of varying courses for different needs and careers.
